Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD) is a special district that collects and cleans an average of 45 million gallons of wastewater per day for about 448,000 residents and 3,000 businesses in central Contra Costa County. CCCSD’s mission, vision and values reflect how our 260 dedicated employees and five-member Board of Directors achieve our ultimate goal: providing the best possible service to our community while protecting public health and the environment . CCCSD also operates a household hazardous waste collection facility, recycles high-quality water, and promotes pollution prevention through various educational, informational and inspection programs. CCCSD has experienced a tremendous amount of change since its formation in 1946. During the past several decades, we have dedicated ourselves to improving our performance and creating added value for our customers.
