Established in 1946, the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD) is a special enterprise district with a five-member elected Board of Directors.

CCCSD collects and treats the wastewater of 462,000 residents and more than 5,000 businesses in 11 cities in central Contra Costa County.
