Facilities

CCCSD’s facilities reflect the District’s role as a steward to the environment through their functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Treatment Plant
CCCSD’s Wastewater Treatment Plant treats approximately 45 million gallons of wastewater per day (MGD) generated in a 146 square mile area by more than 462,000 residents.

Recycled Water
Part of the Treatment Plant’s operation, the Recycled Water Program produces approximately 600 million gallons of recycled water for irrigation, landscaping and industrial use.

Laboratory
A state-of-the-art facility performs almost 15,000 chemical and biological tests each year.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility (HHWCF)
The HHWCF collects more than two million pounds of hazardous waste each year.

Collection System Operations (CSO)
Based in Walnut Creek, CSO is responsible for the maintenance, cleaning, and repair of 1,500 miles of sewer lines.

Pumping Stations
CCCSD operates 19 pumping stations throughout our service area to help the flow of wastewater to the treatment plant.

Headquarters Office Building (HOB)
Located adjacent to the Treatment Plant, the HOB houses the Permit Counter, Administration and Engineering Departments, and the District Board Room.

Permit Counter
Located in District Headquarters, the Permit Counter is your one-stop for all information and permitting tied to your sewer line.
