What You Need to Know About Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Read the label carefully to understand the product contents and warnings. Buy only the amount of product you need. Read safety precautions first. Follow directions for use. Use the prescribed amount. More is not always better. Never mix chemicals. Never pour or rinse chemicals down household or storm drains.
