Hearing July 23 to Adopt Changes to Central San’s Standard Specifications for Design and Construction

Post

Background:  Central San’s Standard Specifications for Design and Construction was last updated in 2014. Since that document was published, staff has continued to solicit comments from internal and external customers, and has revised the document to clarify requirements, and include additional requested information on materials, methods, technologies and industry practices. Section 9.08.010 of the District Code requires that the Board of Directors establish the standard specifications by an uncodified ordinance. The updated document is now ready for adoption, so the Board will hold a hearing on July 23 to adopt the new document, then it will be published and become effective.

A Virtual meeting was held where a presentation reviewing changes in the upcoming 2020 edition of Central San’s Standard Specifications for Design and Construction to the public (e.g., customers, applicants, contractors, engineers, etc.) was provided. You can view the Standard Specification Presentation Sildes.
