Notice to Contractors Inviting Sealed Bids
Solids Handling Facility Improvements, Phase 1A, District Project 7348


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central San invites and will receive sealed Bids for the construction of District Project No. 7348, Solids Handling Facility Improvements, Phase 1A, in conformance with the Contract Documents. The project generally consists of major renovation in an operating industrial facility and includes demolition, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls upgrades for the Sludge Dewatering System, Multiple Hearth Furnaces, Wet Scrubber and Air Pollution Control, Seismic Strengthening, and related Facilities. The estimated cost for this work is $130,000,000 – $135,000,000. Central San, at its discretion, may add additional construction activities after award of the Construction Contract.

A pre-bid meeting with site inspection will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. in the District’s Multi-Purpose Room.

Central San will receive Bids until 2 p.m., local time per, June 29, 2023, at 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California, at which time and place, in Central San’s Board Room, accepted bids will be opened and declared aloud by the Secretary of the District, and other Central San representatives. The bid results including subcontractor lists will be posted under the Central San website’s Construction page. NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
