Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility
Hazardous waste generated by residents and businesses can reach our waterways through runoff, sanitary sewers, storm drains, landfills, and can pollute our local water environment. The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Facility helps prevent this pollution through reuse, recycling, and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
Residents may drop off household hazardous waste at no charge, with no appointment needed.
Sewer Overflow Prevention
Keeping wastewater in the sewers is the job of Central San’s Collection System through cleaning, maintenance and repair of 1,500 miles of underground sewer lines. You can help by making sure that your side sewer – the connection from your home to the public sewer – remains free of any blockages.
Construction Zones
Central San strives to ensure that our collection and treatment systems operate in the most efficient manner possible. Through an aggressive capital improvement plan, we initiate projects to upgrade our infrastructure and utilize the most advanced, cost-effective equipment and processes available. As these projects develop, we’ll keep you informed about them through this section of our site.
Earthquake Preparedness
