Notice to Contractors Inviting Sealed Bids
Martinez Urgent Force Main Replacement, DP 100066


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (Central San), Martinez, California, invites and will receive sealed bids for the construction of District Project 100066, Martinez Urgent Force Main Replacement, in conformance with the Contract. The work generally consists of the replacement of approximately 1,400 linear feet (LF) of 20-inch sewage force mains, including aerial crossings and connections to existing structures in Martinez, CA. The estimated cost of construction is $2,500,000, not including additive bid items. Central San, at its discretion, may add additional construction activities after Award of the Construction Contract.

A prebid meeting to discuss the Project will be held at 10 a.m., local time, August 8, 2023, in the District’s Board Meeting Room, at 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California, and will be followed with a visit to the site. Another site visit will be available on August 4, 2023, if requested by one of the Bidders. Bidders are required to attend at least one of the site visits. Site visits shall only be attended by approved Bidders. 

The District will receive bids at its receptionist area until 2 p.m., local time per, August 16, 2023, at 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California, at which time and place, in the District’s Board Meeting Room, accepted bids will be publicly opened and declared aloud by the Secretary of the District, and before the General Manager, or his representatives. BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM APPROVED PRE-QUALIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTORS SELECTED FROM THE REQUESTS FOR STATEMENTS FROM INTERESTED GENERAL CONTRACTORS ISSUED ON JUNE 29, 2023. NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
