NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (hereafter referred to as “District” or “Central San”), Martinez, California, invites and will receive sealed Bids for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and services specified for the construction of District Project No. 7348, Solids Handling Facility Improvements, in conformance with the Contract Documents. The Project generally consists of major renovation in an operating industrial facility and includes demolition, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls upgrades for Sludge Blending/Storage, Sludge Dewatering System, Multiple Hearth Furnaces, Wet Scrubber and Air Pollution Control, Seismic Strengthening, and Ash Handling Facilities. The estimated cost for this work is: $110,000,000. The District, at its discretion, may add additional construction activities after award of the Construction Contract.

Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, there will be no in-person pre-bid meeting for this Project. A pre-bid video will be posted on PlanetBids on March 2, 2021.

The District will receive Bids until 2 p.m., local time per Time.gov, April 28, 2021, at 5019 Imhoff Place, Martinez, California. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, bids can be hand delivered and dropped off between 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. outside of the District’s Board Meeting Room. Social distancing and face coverings or masks is required, and a drop box will be available. Accepted bids will be opened and declared aloud by the Secretary of the District, and before the General Manager, and/or other District representatives at 3:00 p.m. via a livestream link on the District’s webpage at www.centralsan.org. The bid opening video and results including subcontractor lists will be posted under the website’s Construction page. NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
